The Role

We are hiring a Battery Technician / A-Grade Electrician to join our critical-power delivery team. You will install, commission, test and maintain battery, UPS and DC rectifier systems to a precise, repeatable standard, and carry out the AC and DC electrical scope on critical-power projects across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria, with occasional interstate project work.

This is a hands-on role for a licensed electrician who takes pride in doing critical work properly — and who wants to build deep expertise in battery and critical-power systems within a safety-led, ISO-certified business.

What you'll do

•     Precision installation and commissioning of battery systems — torque-tested intercell connections, interlink impedance validation and string resistance balancing.

•     Capacity and discharge testing, block-level monitoring, fault-finding and predictive lifecycle maintenance on VRLA (and, over time, lithium) battery systems.

•     Installation, maintenance and lifecycle replacement of UPS and DC rectifier systems (in-house and factory training provided on selected products).

•     Delivering the full AC and DC electrical scope on critical-power projects, to AS/NZS 3000 and GWT standards.

•     Completing accurate site documentation and commissioning records through our ProReports / Simpro field systems.

•     Working safely within our HSEQ management system, including GWT work practices, and responding to 24/7 call-outs for contracted clients on a rostered basis.

About You

Essential

•     Current Victorian A-Grade Electrician's Licence (electrical worker registration with Energy Safe Victoria).

•     Hands-on experience in electrical installation, commissioning and maintenance.

•     Strong commitment to safety, quality and accurate documentation.

•     Current driver's licence.

•     Australian work rights and the ability to pass a pre-employment medical and police check.

Highly regarded

•     Experience with batteries, UPS, DC rectifiers or critical-power / critical-environment work (data centres, telco, healthcare).

•     Comfort with digital field tools and structured maintenance procedures.

•     Construction induction (White Card) and any relevant high-risk, working-at-heights or dangerous-goods tickets.

•     A methodical, detail-focused approach and the ability to work independently and within a team.
