Jayco Caravanland is seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to join our growing Service Department. This is a newly created role due to business growth and presents an exciting opportunity to work on a wide variety of recreational vehicles using the latest electrical technology.

About the Role

Reporting to the Service Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults on caravans and tow vehicles

• Install, configure, test and verify 12-volt electrical systems before customer handover.

• Installing batteries, lithium battery systems, solar panels, inverters, battery management systems and DC-DC chargers

• General automotive electrical repairs and maintenance

• Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams

• Testing and commissioning completed installations

• Completing repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications

• Maintaining accurate job records and documentation

• Working collaboratively with our Service team to deliver exceptional customer outcomes

About You

To be successful you will have:

• Trade qualification as an Automotive Electrician

• Minimum 2 years' post-trade automotive electrical experience

• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills

• Experience working on passenger or light commercial vehicles

• Ability to interpret electrical wiring diagrams

• Current Australian Driver's Licence

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Commitment to safe work practices

Highly regarded but not essential:

• Caravan or RV industry experience

• Experience with trailer wiring and electric brake controller products is advantageous

• Experience with lithium battery systems, solar installations and inverters

• MR Licence
