Electrician – Full Time

Location: Inverell, Glen Innes, Armidale or Tamworth NSW
Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week (some Saturdays required)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team based out of the New England region. In this role, you will carry out electrical work relating to the installation, testing, and maintenance of smart meters and associated equipment. You’ll ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of daily activities in line with client, business, and industry expectations.

This is a field-based position, so you must be willing to travel as required, and some Saturday work will be included depending on workload and operational needs.

The below will be provided by Macquarie Electric

• Testing Equipment

• Vehicle (with Personal Use)

• IPad

• All required specialised training/authorisations

Key Responsibilities

• Complete meter installations, exchanges, maintenance, testing, and special investigations

• Perform troubleshooting and wiring verification on metering systems

• Obtain load profile and other data from metering equipment

• Promote compliance with industry standards and internal policies

• Support MQE performance KPIs across safety, delivery, and customer satisfaction

• Ensure timely and accurate data capture and completion of documentation, including risk assessments

• Comply with all policies, procedures, privacy, and confidentiality requirements

Requirements

• Must be a qualified electrician (essential)

• Meter Technician experience desirable

• Must be willing to travel for work as required

• Must be available for some Saturdays as part of operational needs
