About the role

Innovative Energy Systems is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our growing team in Busselton, Western Australia. This is a full-time permanent position based in our Busselton WA 6280 location. As an Electrician, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality electrical services to our clients, ensuring safety, reliability, and excellence in all aspects of your work. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects and contribute to the energy solutions that power our community.

Key responsibilities

  1. Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and equipment in accordance with relevant codes and standards

  2. Diagnose electrical faults and troubleshoot issues using appropriate testing equipment and methodologies

  3. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installations

  4. Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems to minimise downtime and ensure optimal performance

  5. Ensure all work complies with Australian electrical safety standards and regulations

  6. Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress, timelines, and any issues that arise

  7. Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent on each project

  8. Assist in training and mentoring junior staff members as required

  9. Respond promptly to emergency calls and service requests from clients


What we're looking for

  1. Current electrical licence recognised in Western Australia (essential)

  2. Minimum 3–5 years of practical experience as a qualified Electrician

  3. Strong knowledge of electrical installation, maintenance, and repair practices

  4. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical plans and technical documentation

  5. Competency in using a range of electrical testing and diagnostic equipment

  6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  7. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

  8. Ability to work safely and independently whilst adhering to all health and safety protocols

  9. Valid driving licence and reliable transport

  10. Physical fitness to perform manual tasks and work at heights when required

  11. Preferred experience with renewable energy systems or solar installations is advantageous
