The Role
we are seeking a hands-on and qualified Electrician/Electrical Fitter to join a growing, innovative engineering and automation business.

This organisation designs and builds leading-edge plastic container leak tester systems and exports to over 38 countries worldwide, earning a strong global reputation for high-performance automated machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assembly and installation of leak tester control boards
  • Wiring of sensors, devices, and machine components
  • Pneumatic tubing and system testing (strong pneumatic knowledge highly regarded)
  • Assist with packaging machinery when required
  • Switchboard building and interpretation of schematic drawings
  • Support design, development, and documentation processes
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety and OH&S standards
  • Occasional offsite work including installations, breakdowns, and customer service
The Candidate 
  • Fully qualified and licensed electrician (Electrical Fitter preferred)
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ post-trade experience
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
  • High attention to detail with strong troubleshooting capabilities
  • Solid understanding of switchboard wiring rules and regulations
  • Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
  • Basic PLC programming knowledge (advanced skills highly regarded)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude – comfortable working with mechatronic systems
  • Previous machine-building experience advantageous (not essential)
  • Computer literate (Excel, Word; electrical drawing capability beneficial)
  • Current driver’s licence and own vehicle required
