About the Role:

Due to continued growth, Mader Group's Rail Services division are currently seeking experienced Electricians to join our local Crews. You will be working on rail grinding operations across the MTM & V/Line networks. Working on night shift on a 4 days on 3 days off roster based in Melbourne and regional Victoria.

Key duties

• Perform electrical maintenance, inspections and repairs on rail grinding equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults across grinding, hydraulic, pneumatic and control systems
• Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure safe and reliable operations of rail grinding machinery  
• Maintain and repair electrical components including motors, sensors, relays, PLCs, lighting systems and control circuits
• Assist with commissioning, testing and calibration of onboard systems and equipment
• Complete electrical inspections and ensure compliance with relevant Australian Standards and rail industry requirements 
• Support mechanical personnel with breakdown repairs and maintenance activities
• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical manuals
• Adhere to all safety, environmental and rail corridor access requirements
• Participate in night shift operations and work within rail possession windows across metropolitan and regional rail networks

Requirements:

• Victorian A-Grade Electrical Licence required
• Previous Rail/Locomotive experience advantageous 
• RIW advantageous
• Current Drivers Licence
• National Police Check within 3-6 months or willing to get
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Strong commitment towards safety and quality
