Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Electrician to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, test, and commission residential and commercial solar PV systems

Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on existing solar systems

Interpret and work from electrical plans, schematics, and manufacturer documentation

Ensure all electrical work complies with current regulations, codes, and standards

Connect solar systems to inverters, switchboards, and batteries as required

Collaborate with other electricians, apprentices, and contractors on-site

Complete job documentation, testing reports, and compliance certificates

Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and team members

Requirements:

Valid electrical license (A-Grade or equivalent)

Proven experience with solar PV installations (CEC/SAA accreditation)

Knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 and AS/NZS 5033 standards

White Card (Construction Induction Card)

Working at Heights certification

Driver’s license

Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills

Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail

Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Desirable Qualifications:

CEC/SAA Accreditation (Design and Install & Battery)

Battery storage installation experience

Experience with monitoring systems and inverter software
