About Us
At Smoke Alarm Safety (SAS - Smoke, Electrical & Gas), we're a growing compliance services company working alongside some of Melbourne's most reputable real estate agencies. We specialise in smoke alarm inspections, electrical and gas safety servicing, residential upgrades, and Minimum Rental Standard checks. We take pride in offering a clean, efficient, and non-labour-intensive working environment.
The Role
We're on the hunt for a qualified Electrician who's reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys consistency in their day-to-day and appreciates the value of clean, straightforward residential work.
Your day are 7:30am - 4:00pm, but we operate on a "work-to-goal" basis, meaning once your allocated jobs are completed, you're free to finish up for the day.
Your daily tasks will include:
Smoke alarm servicing and installations (240v hardwired)
General residential electrical safety checks
Switchboard upgrades
Minor electrical servicing and compliance tasks

We're after someone who:
Holds a current Electrical Licence
Has a valid Driver's Licence
Can pass a drug and alcohol screening prior to employment
Is confident working solo and managing their own schedule
Is happy with structured, repetitive compliance work
This role would suit an experienced electrician looking for a steadier pace, with the flexibility and satisfaction of a hands-on, independent position in a small but growing company.
What You'll Get
Work vehicle & fuel card (includes some personal use).
Clean, low-intensity workload.
"Work-to-goal" days — finish when the job's done.
Ongoing, consistent jobs across inner city and western suburbs.
