Industrial Electrician

Longreach Systems are seeking an experienced industrial electrician to join our friendly and fast paced Team in our Wingfield office. 

Longreach Systems was established in 1982 and occupies a niche market supplying carton handling conveyor systems to the express freight, warehousing and logistics industry both in Australia and overseas.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, enjoy working to deadlines, possess good communication skills, willing and able to be part of a small team, have a strong commitment to accuracy and quality, and be prepared to work regular overtime and possibly some interstate travel.

About The Role

• Work with our team of electricians, including mentoring apprentices;

• Build electrical cabinets;

• Run and terminate field wiring to motors and control panels;

• Troubleshooting and resolving issues;

• Work with our purchasing team to order items as required;

• Potential interstate travel to assist with installations

About You

• 3 years' trade experience as an industrial or commercial electrician;

• A sound knowledge and understanding of industrial electrical practices;

• The ability to read and understand electrical schematics;

• Experience with control wiring;

• Effective time management;

• Attention to detail;

• Safety focused;

• While it is not essential, PLC programming, CAD experience and/or White Card will be an advantage.
