As part of our ongoing expansion, P&E Total Solutions is seeking experienced and highly skilled Auto Electricians to join our team in the Pilbara on a permanent residential basis.
About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this role requires you to install automotive electrical systems, equipment and components, and assemble new equipment while ensuring excellent customer service. You will also be required to conduct pre-delivery inspections and adjustments using relevant testing equipment. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining fleet reliability and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Accountabilities include:
Collaborate with team members to ensure all planned repairs are completed efficiently, meeting both time and budget targets.
Carry out safe and effective maintenance on mobile plant equipment, including diagnostics, field servicing, and general repairs.
Participate in all aspects of machine maintenance, covering fault finding, troubleshooting, and both scheduled and preventative tasks.
Identify and diagnose electrical faults in mobile plant machinery.
Install electrical systems, accessories, and electronic components in vehicles and equipment.
Repair or replace faulty or worn electrical wiring and components as required.
Perform routine servicing of equipment, both in the workshop and on-site.
Take an active role in toolbox talks and safety meetings.
Engage in hazard identification, risk assessments, and the development or use of Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and Safe Work Procedures (SWPs) as needed.
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
Trade qualification (Australian recognised);
Automotive Air Conditioning Ticket;
Strong electrical diagnostic skills;
Capacity to work in a team environment with minimal supervision;
Excellent attitude towards safety and commitment to zero-harm;
Self-motivated and strong work ethic;
White Card; and
Current drivers’ licence.
