GRIFFIN COAL

The Griffin Coal Mining Company is seeking experienced Auto-Electrical Tradespersons to join our maintenance team.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the successful candidates will be responsible for carrying out all low voltage preventative and breakdown maintenance on various mobile plant equipment which is required to sustain an efficient and safe mining operation and who works to achieve agreed availability and reliability targets.

In this role duties include but are not limited to:

•               Preventative and breakdown repairs to the mobile fleet electrical systems;

•               Interpret equipment downloads and accurately analyses data;

•               Effectively attend to diagnosis and fault finding of mechanical/ electrical faults and breakdowns; and

•               Undertake checks to verify equipment is fit for purpose and in suitable and safe working condition.

EXPERIENCE

The preferred candidate will have:

•           Relevant trade qualification;

•           Minimum 2 years' experience as a tradesperson in heavy industry, mining or environment;

•           Refrigeration and Air-conditioning license;

•           Current WA "C" class driver's license;

•           Excellent communication and organisational skills; and

•           Current Dogging, Basic Rigging and Forklift licenses are preferable but not essential.

 

THE LOCATION & LIFESTYLE

Griffin Coal Mine is located near Collie, a town which is located 45 minutes from the coastal city of Bunbury and 2.5 hours from the capital city of Perth, Western Australia. This is a residential role and as such no relocation package is being offered.
