We are looking for an Electrical Tradesperson to join our dynamic and great cultured Workplace. Our Electrical Onsite Leading Hand is responsible for supervising and coordinating electrical Trade Works on site while actively participating in installation and commissioning work. This role ensures electrical works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard in accordance with project specifications, electrical regulations, and company procedures.
We provide on the job Training and up skilling through the Electrical and Communications industry. Based in Belmont, Perth; JWEC carries out Commercial Works throughout the Health, Education and Fit out industries.
Key Responsibilities;
* Lead and supervise a team of electricians and apprentices on site.
* Allocate daily work tasks and ensure works are completed according to project schedules.
* Perform hands-on electrical installation, maintenance, and commissioning work.
* Ensure all work complies with relevant electrical standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
* Conduct site toolbox talks and safety briefings.
* Identify and resolve onsite technical issues and escalate where required.
* Monitor quality of electrical installations and ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
* Coordinate materials, tools, and equipment required for site activities.
* Liaise with project managers, supervisors, engineers, and other trades to ensure smooth project delivery.
* Mentor apprentices and provide technical guidance to team members.
* Maintain accurate site records including progress reports, timesheets, and incident reports.
* Ensure housekeeping and safe work practices are maintained across the work area.
Skills and Experience
* Qualified Electrician with relevant the A Grade electrical licence.
* Proven experience in a supervisory or leading hand role within electrical construction or industrial environments.
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installations, and safety procedures.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
Qualifications;
* Current A Grade Electrical Licence.
* Construction White Card.
* First Aid / CPR certification (desirable).
* EWP, Working at Heights, or other relevant site tickets (desirable).

Working Conditions
* Predominantly site-based work environment.
* Depending on the Candidate if they wish they can work overtime, weekend work, or travel depending on project requirements.
