More than 80% of Australia’s groceries are moved using our equipment and we design and build complex lifting solutions for Australia’s major builders, factories, warehouses, hospitals, arts centres and the resource industry. Many of our products are exported or manufactured by partners internationally.
This position is located at Mount Waverley where your job will be to install Safetech's extensive range of lifting and materials handling equipment. You will work with and be supported by a large, experienced, dynamic and innovative engineering team.
Perform independent installation and inspection of equipment in the field in an expeditious manner while ensuring customer needs are met and exceeded
Plan and undertake installation of new equipment
Where required, perform repairs and planned maintenance
Accurately complete all necessary paperwork associated with installations and other required works, including work sheets, time sheets and safety analysis sheets
Maintain complete and accurate service vehicle inventory in line with company guidelines, including timely compliance with vehicle servicing, warehouse, tool and equipment maintenance requirements
Work closely with all other departments across the company
Other duties as required
Qualified Electrician with relevant Australian-recognised electrical trade qualifications
Current electrical licence (or eligibility to obtain one)
Basic hand tools
Experience in field wiring
3 to 5 years’ experience in repairs, service and/or installation of hydraulic, mechanical and/or electrical equipment
Sound knowledge of hydraulic systems
Good understanding of electrical and mechanical theory
Ability to apply technical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment independently in the field
