Galaxy Personnel is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician who has a solid background within a FMCG environment to working with one of our leading clients in the SE Suburbs.

The role is based on NIGHT SHIFT and will require your proven experience within the Manufacturing sector covering production maintenance. This role is for an immed start/

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical maintenance, PLC fault finding and troubleshooting and experienced in automation systems an advantage. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth operation and efficiency of our production processes.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Preventative and Breakdown maintenance: Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

  • Fault Finding & Troubleshooting: Diagnose electrical and automation issues to minimise downtime.

  • PLC Programming:  Modify and troubleshoot PLC programs to support automated machinery and processes.

  • Automation Systems: Maintain automation systems, including HMIs, SCADA, and other control systems an advangage

The role will require your strict adherence to safety and compliance with company policies. Your proven experience within an Industrial Manufacturing sector will assist in your commitment to continuous improvements, maintaining of documentation etc.

Qualifications:

  • A grade Electrical Workers License is required.

  •  Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an Industrial setting

  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, circuits, and components.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in electrical maintenance and automation are a plus.

Our ideal candidate will have gained their experience within a food-manufacturing environment, but we are focused on finding the right person for the job. The role would ideally suit a candidate with 3-5 years’ experience who is willing to continue to learn and develop.
