At Southern Ridge Electrical, we’re delivering a growing pipeline of commercial projects across Gippsland and we’re looking for an experienced Commercial Leading Hand Electrician to join our Warragul-based team.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys running jobs, leading a small team and taking pride in delivering high-quality electrical work — all while working close to home instead of travelling into Melbourne every day.

What you'll be working on

Our commercial division is involved in a range of projects across Gippsland including:

• Schools and education facilities
• Community and government buildings
• Health and childcare facilities
• Commercial developments and upgrades

With multiple projects currently underway and more scheduled to commence, we’re looking for someone ready to step into a key role within our commercial team.

Your role as a Leading Hand

As a Leading Hand Electrician, you will play an important role in the day-to-day delivery of our commercial projects.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading a small team of electricians and apprentices on site
• Coordinating daily site activities and work schedules
• Working alongside and in conjunction with project managers
• Ensuring work is completed to a high standard and on schedule
• Maintaining safety and compliance across all works
• Mentoring and supporting apprentices within the team

What we’re looking for

• Victorian A-Grade Electrical Licence
• Commercial electrical experience
• Ability to lead and coordinate a team on site
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• White Card and current driver’s licence
• Pride in delivering quality workmanship

Previous Leading Hand or supervisory experience is highly regarded, but electricians ready to step up into a leadership role are encouraged to apply.
