A growing marine contracting business servicing the Pilbara region is seeking an experienced Marine Electrician to join our team based in Karratha, Western Australia, supporting projects throughout the greater Pilbara marine area.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic marine environment with a company involved in vessel maintenance, marine infrastructure, and offshore support operations.

About the Role

You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, fault finding, and repair of electrical systems on marine vessels and associated marine infrastructure. The role will involve working on a variety of vessels and equipment used in commercial marine operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain marine electrical systems

• Install and commission electrical equipment on vessels and marine assets

• Conduct fault finding on AC/DC systems, navigation equipment, and control systems

• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections

• Interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings

• Ensure all work complies with relevant marine and electrical safety standards

• Collaborate with mechanical and marine operations teams on projects

Requirements

• Trade qualification as an Electrician

• Experience working in marine, maritime, offshore, or industrial environments

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

• Ability to work safely in a dynamic marine environment

• Valid driver’s licence

• Ability to pass medical and drug & alcohol screening

Highly Regarded

• Marine electrical experience on commercial vessels

• Experience with navigation, communication, and control systems

• Working at Heights / Confined Space tickets

• High Risk Work Licence

• Maritime safety training
