About the Role

This is a hands-on role working with our installation team on solar, battery and electrification projects. You will be responsible for leading and carrying out electrical work, ensuring installations meet industry standards and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and commission solar PV systems and battery storage

• Perform electrical work associated with EV chargers and heat pump systems

• Ensure installations comply with relevant standards and regulations

• Supervise apprentices and provide guidance on-site

• Identify potential on-site challenges before installation begins and provide proactive solutions to address them

• Conduct testing, commissioning and system checks

• Maintain high safety standards and follow WHS procedures

• Represent Decarby professionally on customer sites

Essential Requirements

• Fully qualified electrician with a current electrical licence

• Minimum 5 years of experience in solar and battery installations

• SAA (Solar Accreditation Australia) accreditation for solar installations

• Valid driver’s licence

• White Card

• Ability to work safely on roofs when required

• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Experience installing solar PV and battery systems

• Working at Heights certification

• Experience in EV charger or heat pump installations

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
