Commercial Electrician
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong electrical background to join a committed team within a well established Electrical Contracting company and to further their career in the Electrical Industry.
You will be responsible to carry out the work as per job description and in accordance with customer's specifications, program and contractual obligations in the most efficient, safe and cost-effective manner.
Qualifications/Requirements:
The successful candidate will require as a minimum:
A relevant WA Electrical trade qualification
An unrestricted WA Drivers License
Substantial knowledge and experience of commercial and light and power is essential.
Specific Responsibilities:
Maintain a current electrical trade licence.
Work within the restrictions of your Electrical Licence.
Maintain other current licences (and work within their restrictions) as deemed necessary to perform your duties. E.g. cabling licence.
Participate in Risk Assessments and abide by Company OHS procedures
Ensure access to and work areas are safe and that material, labour, and appropriate documents are available.
Ensure the right tools are used and advise Supervisor or Foreperson of any deficiencies in their availability.
Ensure material, plant and equipment are correctly stored and handled.
Assist customer/project manager with any reasonable requests.
Be part of a disciplined and professional team.
Ensure all electrical testing is carried out in accordance with the prescribed procedures.
Be self-motivated, problem solver with drive & fitness to meet the needs of a fast-paced job.
Ensure test equipment is stored in non-hostile environment.
Ensure all checklists and test reports are signed and completed with your electrical license no. when carrying out the installation and / or connections, during the progress of a project.
Participate in toolbox meetings at regular intervals with all staff.
Accurate and prompt completion of all paperwork including but not limited to the following: Time Sheets, Work Sheets. Test Records, Risk Assessments
Report all accidents and incidents as soon as possible to your Department Manager or Supervisor or Foreperson. Do not interfere with installation or apparatus after the accident other than to make safe.
Ensure all Group Safety and live work policies are followed.
Travel and work outside the Perth Metro area and interstate when required.
Complete any relevant training if requested by the company.
Must be willing to work overtime and night shift when required.
Must be able to read & interpret drawings.
Work rotates through on going installation projects and service works dependant on work requirements.
Be available for after-hours callouts on a roster system and when work is required.
