TJ Power Electrical is one of the leading electrical contractors in Karratha, WA. Due to continued growth and expansion, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician for a full-time role, based in Karratha, WA. Local residents are encouraged to apply.
Duties include:
Interpretation and use of technical drawings, circuit wiring and mechanical diagrams, equipment and cable/connection schedules and manuals to undertake electrical wiring work
Installation, repair, maintenance and testing of electrical and electrotechnology systems and equipment, including wiring, switches, outlets, circuit breakers, transformers and lighting fixtures
Measurement and layout of electrical installation sequences
Selection, cutting and connection of wire and cables to circuit breakers, transformers or other electrical components in residential and commercial settings
Connection of electrical systems to power supply
Continuity, resistance and compliance testing to the standards of electrical circuits
Completion of Inspection and Test Records (ITRs)
Completion of electrical appliance and portable equipment testing and tagging
Execution of work by following comprehensive procedures in conjunction with adhering to work instructions laid down in work packages.
What you will bring to the team/Qualifications you will bring to the team:
Full Working Rights in Australia
At least 3 years of relevant work experience
Australian recognised Electrical Trade Certificate
Fully qualified Electrician (A-Grade licence or equivalent)
Demonstrated experience in the maintenance of electrical systems across residential and commercial environments
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving capability
Sound knowledge and understanding of the Australian Standard AS3000 Australian Wiring Rules
Strong customer service focus with professional presentation and communication skills
Punctual, reliable and accountable to systems, safety and legislative requirements
Team-oriented with respect for workplace culture and customer outcomes
Good communication, written and verbal skills
Basic computer skills
