Electrician - Night Shift

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Night shift Electrician to join our busy and dynamic team. Based at Wetherill Park and reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the primary objective of the role is to diagnose, fault find and repair industrial electrical systems. 

The shift hours are 10:00pm to 6:00am working Monday to Friday.

Overtime may be available on weekends when required based on operational requirements. 

 Key responsibilities and duties: 

·         Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems and equipment

·         Troubleshoot electrical issues and find solutions to minimise downtime in production 

·         Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance 

·         Responding to any breakdowns and emergency repairs as required 

·         Diagnostics of breakdowns using PLC software (Omron, NX Series & Sysmex Studio)

·         Conduct root cause analysis on failures and ensure following up on identified actions 

·         Update and maintain data records on work carried out via CMMS (MEX) 

·         Adhere to Safety and Quality requirements onsite  

·         Collaborate with other team members to improve performance and reliability of the equipment.

About you and your skills:

·         Electrical Trade Licence 

·         Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in Food Manufacturing or FMCG

·         Demonstrated experience diagnosing and repairing complex electrical systems 

·         Working knowledge of CMMS (MEX preferred)

·         Ability to work autonomously and within a team 

·         Sound verbal and written communication skills 

·         Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards 

·         Forklift and working at heights licence is desirable
