Electrician / HV Operator – Newcastle & Hunter Region

We are currently looking for a skilled and experienced Electrician / HV Operator to support a range of ongoing projects throughout the Newcastle and Hunter Region.

This position is ideal for a safety-driven electrician who is comfortable working in high-risk environments and has experience working with high voltage networks and switching operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out high voltage switching activities in line with approved procedures and permit systems

  • Perform installation, maintenance and fault diagnosis on electrical and HV infrastructure

  • Maintain full compliance with safety, environmental and company policies and procedures

  • Prepare and complete switching programs, permits and required site documentation

  • Work closely with supervisors, engineers and project commissioning teams to ensure efficient project delivery


About You

  • Hold a current A-Grade Electrical Licence (essential)

  • HV Switching Authorisation is highly regarded

  • Demonstrated experience working on high voltage projects

  • Minimum 2–4 years’ experience within HV environments

  • Current CPR / LVR certification

  • White Card

  • Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment

  • Australian Citizenship required
