Sam Technology Engineers have an exciting opportunity for an Industrial Electrician to join our team in Melbourne, working in the materials handling and rail maintenance equipment industry. We service some great businesses and are part of some exciting projects in Melbourne.

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Industrial Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

·         Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment, machinery, and control systems

·         Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections

·         Diagnose electrical issues using testing equipment and schematics

·         Work motors, drives, control panels, and automation systems

·         Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company procedures

·         Document maintenance activities and report issues promptly

·         Collaborate with other maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime

Qualifications

·         Trade certification

·         Minimum 5 years of industrial or manufacturing experience

·         Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, blueprints, and troubleshooting techniques

·         Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team

·         Willingness to work overtime when required
