A- Grade Electrician

Job Title: A Grade Electrician - Switchboard / Switchroom (Commercial & Industrial)

About the Role

We are currently seeking experienced A Grade Electricians with strong switchboard and switchroom experience to join our team for upcoming works in a commercial and industrial environment.

This role will involve the manufacturing and assembly of switchboards and switchrooms, working within a workshop/yard environment. Candidates with previous switchboard, MCC, and PLC wiring experience will be highly regarded.

This is a project-based position, with the opportunity for ongoing work and potential permanent employment for the right candidates.

Work Schedule

• Day Shift: Monday - Friday

• Hours: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

• Ordinary Hours: 7.6 hours per day

• Overtime: As required

• Saturday: 6:00 AM - 12:00 PM (overtime available)

Key Responsibilities

• Assembly and wiring of switchboards and switchrooms

• MCC (Motor Control Centre) wiring and installation

• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and drawings

• PLC wiring and terminations

• Cable ladder installation

• Cable installation and terminations

• Distribution board installation and wiring

• Working safely within commercial and industrial electrical environments

Requirements

• A Grade Electrical Licence

• White Card

• Demonstrated switchboard or switchroom experience

• Ability to read and interpret schematics

• Experience with PLC wiring, cable installation and terminations

• Valid driver's licence and reliable transport

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Drug & Alcohol Screen (DAS) prior to commencement

PPE & Tools

• Long sleeve Hi-Vis shirt

• Long work pants

• Steel cap boots

• Own tools required (some tools supplied)

Pay & Allowances

Electrical Worker Grade 7 - A Grade Electrician (Switchroom)

Base Rate:

• $58.73 per hour

Overtime Rates:

• First 2 hours OT (Mon-Sat): $88.08 per hour

• After 2 hours OT (Mon-Sat): $117.45 per hour

• Public Holidays: $146.81 per hour

Allowances:

• Site Allowance: $2.00 per hour (paid on all hours worked)

• Electrical Licence Allowance: $38.46 per week (approx. $1.01 per hour based on a 38-hour week)

• Industry and tool allowances included
