The Liverpool Bakery is our largest site in APAC, comprising four manufacturing areas, including a fresh bun bakery, frozen bakery products, cakes and desserts.

We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join the night-shift Engineering team at our Liverpool Bakery.

The Role:

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Electrician plays a key role in keeping our night-shift production operations running smoothly through effective equipment troubleshooting and timely breakdown response.

Working Hours:

  • Friday to Monday from 9pm – 7am

The role offers the opportunity for overtime when required.

Main Responsibilities include:

  • Manage end-to-end equipment performance on the production line
  • Complete preventive maintenance on allocated equipment
  • Carry out end-of-week shutdown tasks and activities
  • Perform testing and calibration on manufacturing and process equipment (Temp, Flow & Pressure)
  • Identify defects and carry out corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance
  • Scope and deliver PLC programming and automation improvements
  • Support development projects, including installation and commissioning
  • Apply strong critical-thinking skills to resolve electrical and technical issues
  • Follow all site Policies & Procedures (GMP, HACCP, WHS, Environmental, LOTO, Confined Space, Boiler Operation, etc.)

About You:

We are looking for a qualified, hands-on Maintenance Electrician who is organised, detail-focused and results-driven. To be successful, you’ll bring:

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • Electrical Trade Certificate & A-Grade Electrical License
  • Strong electrical and mechanical experience ideally in complex FMCG environment
  • Proficiency in using CMMS(ideally MEX)
  • Basic refrigeration knowledge
  • Competence with Allen-Bradley PLC systems will be highly regarded
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematic drawings
  • General understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Knowledge of 3ph & 1ph Motor control systems and fault-finding Techniques.
  • Understanding of RCA, Lean Manufacturing & 5S
  • FMCG/food, pharmaceutical or related manufacturing experience (highly regarded)
  • The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
  • PC Literacy (MS Office – Excel, Word, Outlook)
