Our Commercial Service Department is expanding, and we are seeking skilled and experienced Commercial Service Electricians to join our team. You’ll work across diverse commercial environments, supporting clients in the Logan, Redlands, Gold Coast and Ipswich regions.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking experienced Commercial Service Electricians who can deliver high‑quality, reliable electrical service and maintenance across a wide range of commercial facilities.

Based in Meadowbrook, Queensland, we offer exciting opportunities across Logan, Redlands, and Ipswich Council areas. This is a permanent, full-time position where you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality electrical maintenance services for a variety of commercial clients. 

In this role, you’ll focus primarily on the ongoing maintenance and servicing of electrical systems across commercial properties, ensuring they remain in optimal condition. Your responsibilities will include fault finding, electrical testing, repairs, and upgrades of existing electrical systems. You’ll be working across a wide range of commercial environments, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of lighting, power, and control systems.

ROLE CONDITIONS & BENEFITS

• Full‑Time Permanent: $48.00 – $55.00/hr + leave entitlements

• Permanent Casual: $60.00 – $67.50/hr (inc. casual loading)
  Rates negotiable based on experience, qualifications & performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carrying out electrical servicing, inspections, repairs, and upgrades on commercial electrical systems.

• Diagnosing faults, performing AS3000 installation testing, and completing all required documentation.

• Maintaining and servicing lighting, power, and control systems across multiple commercial environments.

• Working both autonomously and collaboratively within a skilled and supportive team.

• Engaging professionally with clients and delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.

• Contributing to ongoing improvements in safety, quality, and operational reliability.

• Completing service and maintenance works across government sector contracts, including QBuild and associated housing projects.

• Maintaining Council-owned assets and infrastructure, which forms a significant part of the department’s workload.

• Conducting general maintenance within schools across the region.

• Performing electrical and data maintenance within private hospitals and other healthcare environments.

• Collaborate with managers, engineers, clients, and team members

• Mentor apprentices and junior staff

• Maintain strong WHS practices across all job types

• Represent T2 Electrical & Data with a positive, professional can do attitude

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Minimum 3 years post‑trade commercial electrical experience

• Strong background in fault finding, control wiring & switchboard works

• Experience in commercial construction installations (tray, conduit, cable hauls, civil works)

• Excellent understanding of AS3000 & mandatory testing requirements

• Ability to interpret drawings, plans & schematics

• High-quality workmanship and strong attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and mentor apprentices

• A positive attitude and commitment to team success

REQUIRED LICENCES & TICKETS

• Current QLD Electrical Fitter Mechanic Licence

• Manual C‑Class Driver Licence (clean history)

• Current CPR/LVR certification

Highly Desirable (but not essential):

• EWP >11m & Working at Heights

• Open Cablers Licence with structured cabling endorsement
