About Us

The CSA Mine is located in Cobar NSW and is Australia’s highest-grade copper mine.

We are located 11 kilometres north-west of Cobar, central western New South Wales. At 1.9 kilometres deep, it is one of Australia’s deepest underground mines.

Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, CSA Mine directly employs over 500 people and is proud to have recently joined Harmony Australasia.

Harmony is the largest gold producer by volume in South Africa and is a significant operator of gold tailings retreatment facilities. In Papua New Guinea, Harmony owns and operates the Hidden Valley mine and owns 50% of the Tier 1 Wafi-Golpu copper-gold project. In Australia, Harmony owns the high-grade CSA copper mine in Cobar, NSW and is currently preparing to progress the Execution Phase of the Eva Copper Mine Project in QLD. These assets are supported by the Harmony Australasia regional corporate office located in Milton, Brisbane.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with secheduling of maintenance activities, including predictive, preventative maintenance and shutdowns.

• Monitor equipment performance and ensure that any issues are promptly addressed and/or escalated.

• Lead a team of electrical tradespersons and apprentices and provide day to day guidance.

• Provide first-response breakdown support as required.

• Ensure the safety and reliability of all electrical systems in line with site procedures and OEM specifications.

• Comply with safety standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

• Collaborate closely with maintenance and operations teams to support plant performance.

About You

• Relevant Electrical Trade Certificate with post-trade experience.

• HV access switching and HV jointing and termination

• Current NSW Electrical Licence or willingness to obtain.

• Demonstrated prior experience in a leadership role

• Valid Australian Driver’s Licence (minimum P2 or equivalent).
