About Us

Hobson Electrical is looking for an experienced Electrician to join our team. We are a Hobart based electrical contracting company who work with some of Tasmania’s most esteemed award-winning builders. We primarily work in domestic residential areas, with projects ranging from new homes to renovation work, and complex architectural builds.  

Key responsibilities

  • Work with an excellent team

  • Broad spectrum of typical domestic electrician duties; wire and fit of 240v and ELV power, audio, cctv, networking and television services.

  • Installing mains and trench work

  • Fault finding and switchboard work

  • Organising the work vehicle and keeping it tidy and ready to use

  • Adhering to safe operating practices and procedures

  • Training apprentices

  • Accessing and updating the schedule, tasks and electrical plans through our exceptional management software

  • Work both as a member of a team, as well as independently

What we offer you

  • $40-55 per hour + Super

  • Flexible working hours upon negotiation; Full time, Part time or somewhere in between

  • Opportunity for overtime 

  • Company vehicle, iPad, uniform & PPE

What you need to succeed

  • Hold a current Electrical Licence

  • Current unrestricted driver’s licence

  • Construction White Card

  • Be self-motivated, reliable, honest and takes pride in your work

  • Have a strong work ethic and excellent problem solving skills

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
