Electrician — Solar & Battery Installer Location Bayswater North / Eastern Melbourne (travel to local residential and occasional commercial sites)

The role (what you'll do)

• Lead design, installation, commissioning and handover of residential (and occasional commercial) solar PV and battery systems.

• Install and service inverters, batteries, panels, switchboards and EV chargers; perform testing and handover.

• Inspect sites, liaise with customers to tailor energy solutions, and explain system operation in plain language.

• Ensure work meets Australian standards and Cowlec's safety-first processes.

• Mentor and upskill junior electricians on best-practice solar & storage installations.

• Keep clear job records, update management on progress and help manage paperwork for grid connection/rebates.

Who we're looking for (must-haves)

• Qualified electrician with a current electrical license and Certificate III in Electrotechnology (or equivalent).

• A-Grade electrical licence is required for this position.

• SSA Solar and Battery Accreditation (CEC)

• Proven experience installing, commissioning and maintaining solar PV and battery storage systems.

• 3-5 years of experience in solar PV and battery storage installation is required.

• Strong fault-finding and system-design knowledge; familiar with local standards and compliance.

• Excellent customer-communication skills and a professional, safety-first attitude.

• Reliable, able to work independently and as part of a compact team; clean driving record.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with popular battery/inverter brands used in Australia. (Sungrow. Hinen, Tesla)

• Switchboard upgrades and EV charger installation experience.

• Training/mentoring background or interest in upskilling apprentices.
