Electrician

The Viking Group, part of the long-established Coghlan Group (operating on the Gold Coast since 1958), is seeking a qualified electrician to join our growing team.

This is a full-time, long-term role offering variety across residential, commercial, and renewable energy projects — with the opportunity to expand into solar and emerging technologies if desired.

About the Role

You’ll work across a mix of:

• Residential installations, upgrades, and maintenance

• Commercial fit-outs and service work

• Switchboard upgrades and testing

• Lighting and power installations

• Fault finding and compliance testing

• Renewable energy projects (solar training provided if required)

We provide exposure to solar and renewable energy systems, but prior solar experience is not essential — we’re happy to train the right electrician.

What We’re Looking For

• Current QLD Electrical Work Licence (essential)

• Current Driver’s Licence

• CPR & LVR certification (or willingness to obtain)

• Construction White Card

• Strong fault-finding ability

• Ability to read and interpret plans

• Pride in workmanship

• Reliable, team-focused attitude

Highly Regarded (Not Essential)

• Commercial fit-out experience

• Solar accreditation (CEC)

• Split system air-conditioning ticket

• EWP / Working at Heights
