The Viking Group, part of the long-established Coghlan Group (operating on the Gold Coast since 1958), is seeking a qualified electrician to join our growing team.
This is a full-time, long-term role offering variety across residential, commercial, and renewable energy projects — with the opportunity to expand into solar and emerging technologies if desired.

About the Role
You’ll work across a mix of:
Residential installations, upgrades, and maintenance
Commercial fit-outs and service work
Switchboard upgrades and testing
Lighting and power installations
Fault finding and compliance testing
Renewable energy projects (solar training provided if required)
We provide exposure to solar and renewable energy systems, but prior solar experience is not essential — we’re happy to train the right electrician.
What We’re Looking For
Current QLD Electrical Work Licence (essential)
Current Driver’s Licence
CPR & LVR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Construction White Card
Strong fault-finding ability
Ability to read and interpret plans
Pride in workmanship
Reliable, team-focused attitude
Highly Regarded (Not Essential)
Commercial fit-out experience
Solar accreditation (CEC)
Split system air-conditioning ticket
EWP / Working at Heights
