2026 Intake: Apprentice Electrician

Barnes Electrical, in partnership with Apprentices and Trainees Queensland, is seeking motivated applicants to commence an Electrical Apprenticeship in Gladstone.
With over 25 years of delivering high-quality electrical solutions across Queensland, Barnes Electrical works across industrial maintenance, commercial installations, emergency breakdowns, generator and UPS systems, and advanced fault finding.
This is more than an apprenticeship — it’s an opportunity to develop into a capable, confident and technically skilled Electrician.

What We’re Looking For
Essential:

Successful completion of Year 10 (or equivalent)
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
Local to the Gladstone region
Construction White Card (or willingness to obtain)

Desirable:

Current Queensland Driver’s Licence

You Will Be:

Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
Self-motivated with a mature attitude
Willing to learn, ask questions, and accept feedback
A strong communicator (both written and verbal)
Organised with strong communication skills
Comfortable working both autonomously and under supervision
