This position is an outstanding career opportunity for HV Electricians, preferably with a background in open-cut mining. This role will provide diverse exposure to the Dawson Mine and our class-leading machines such as the Liebherr R996 Excavator and a fleet of Komatsu 830E Dump Trucks.

Our machinery is used at flagship Australian mines to produce iron ore, coal, gold, nickel and other commodities.

About the role

  • Permanent full-time roles
  • Based out of Dawson mine site
  • Preventative maintenance and availability
  • Breakdown diagnostic support
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety, continuous improvement and technical excellence
  • Complete all necessary documentation correctly and on time
  • Contribute towards any improvements or initiatives relating to productivity or costs

Skills & experience

  • Australian recognised high voltage electrician trade certification
  • Experience working on electric drive haul trucks is essential
  • High voltage switching certification
  • High level of technical skills on a diverse fleet of equipment.
  • Experience working on various heavy earthmoving equipment
  • Current QLD ResHealth medical
  • Current Standard 11
  • Outstanding troubleshooting / diagnostic skills
