About EMSP Drilling
EMSP Drilling Pty Ltd is an Australian-owned, technically-led provider of raisebore and drilling-support services to the resources, mining, civil and energy sectors. Headquartered in Western Australia and built to mobilise into the most remote operating environments under a single-source contracting model, we hold ourselves to the governance, safety and commercial standards expected by tier-one operators. Our reputation is earned one shift at a time — through disciplined execution, transparent conduct and an unwavering commitment to the wellbeing of our people.

The opportunity
Electrical integrity sits at the intersection of safety and uptime, and we are seeking a licensed Electrician to own it across our operation. You will be the site's electrical authority for our Epiroc Easer L boxhole machine, raisebore equipment and associated infrastructure — the person whose discipline and judgement ensure that complex, high-energy systems perform safely and reliably in demanding, remote conditions.

This is a hands-on leadership role on a 2/2 FIFO roster from any Australian or New Zealand capital city, suited to a professional who treats electrical compliance as non-negotiable and brings calm, methodical problem-solving to the field.

Key accountabilities
As the electrical authority for our plant, you will:

  • Deliver planned, preventative and breakdown electrical maintenance across mobile drilling plant and site infrastructure

  • Work safely and compliantly with LV and HV systems, including isolations, switching, testing and tag-out

  • Diagnose and restore control systems, variable speed drives, PLCs and instrumentation with structured fault-finding

  • Execute installations, testing and compliance verification to the relevant standards and codes

  • Maintain meticulous electrical records, logbooks and certification that withstand audit scrutiny

  • Reinforce safe systems of work, permit-to-work disciplines and a culture of electrical safety leadership

What you will bring
We are seeking an electrician whose technical authority is matched by sound judgement under pressure:

  • An A-grade Electrical Licence valid in the relevant state/territory (national licence well regarded)

  • Substantial experience across mining, drilling, resources or heavy industry

  • HV experience and an HV switching ticket — highly desirable

  • Working knowledge of VSDs, PLCs, instrumentation and auto-electrical systems

  • Hazardous area (EEHA) qualification and/or high-risk work licences (e.g. EWP) an advantage

  • A current driver's licence and current or readily obtainable mine site induction

  • The capacity to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening

Our operating culture
EMSP takes its name from the four principles that define how we work. We are Encouraged — we empower our people to lead, to raise concerns without hesitation, and to grow into the next stage of their careers. We are Methodical — we plan deliberately and execute with precision, because the quality of our preparation determines the safety of the outcome. We are Systematic — we operate through robust, repeatable systems that deliver consistency regardless of site or conditions. And we are Principled — we do what is right, hold ourselves accountable, and never trade integrity or safety for expediency.

Our offer to you
EMSP invests in the people who carry its reputation. For the right candidate we offer a remuneration and benefits package designed to reward capability and sustain a long career:

  • Above-market remuneration

  • 17.5% annual leave loading

  • 5 weeks of annual leave

  • 2 weeks of personal/carer's leave

  • Paid family & domestic violence leave

  • Long service leave

  • A balanced 2/2 FIFO roster from any Australian or New Zealand capital city
