About the Role
As an experienced Underground Electrician, you will play a key role in maintaining the reliability and performance of the underground operation. Your responsibilities will include carrying out planned preventative maintenance, fault finding, breakdown repairs, and upgrades to underground electrical infrastructure, as well as maintaining underground communications, radio, and telemetry networks across the site.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the foundation team on Mako Mining's new Comet Project and play an integral role in establishing a safe, productive, and high-performing underground mining operation. We are looking for individuals who are forward-thinking, collaborative, and dedicated to fostering a culture built on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Roster: FIFO from Perth, 8:6 roster.
Essential Criteria include
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an Underground Maintenance operation
WA “A” Class electrical Workers Licence
Manual Drivers Licence
High Voltage switching experience
First Aid Certificate
LV Resue and CPR First Aid Certificate
Crane, Dogging, EWP and Forklift tickets are desirable
Responsibilities
Ensure all electrical activities are completed to the highest standard.
Support production facilities by providing reliable and accurate maintenance knowledge.
Report safety and environmental hazards.
Perform quality fault finding to ensure accurate diagnosis of faults.
Complete all installations inline with site electrical standards and statutory electrical regulations.
Ensure that all required parts are included in a scope of works for future equipment repairs.
Prioritise and respond quickly to urgent breakdowns impacting production or safety.
Assist across underground services and infrastructure activities
