TP Human Capital is currently seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician for an opportunity supporting a major mining operation's port facility in Townsville.

This is an excellent opportunity for an electrician with strong industrial and PLC experience who is looking to secure long-term employment within a stable and well-established operation.

About the Role
Working within a port-based industrial environment, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a range of fixed plant and automated equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. This is a hands-on role that will see you working across electrical maintenance and fault-finding activities, while also providing the opportunity to broaden your skillset through operational training and development.

Approximately 40–45 hours per week, including availability to work 1–2 weekends per month as required.

Mandatory Requirements

Current Queensland Electrical Licence
Demonstrated industrial electrical experience
Strong PLC fault-finding and troubleshooting experience
Experience maintaining and repairing industrial plant and equipment
Current Queensland Driver Licence
Construction White Card
Unlimited Australian working rights
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including MMQ assessment
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
Desirable Experience
Port operations, bulk handling, mining, mineral processing, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments
Maintenance of conveyors, motors, drives, pumps, and control systems
Experience working with automated plant and PLC-controlled equipment
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Training & Development

The successful candidate must be willing to learn and be upskilled in operational duties, including loading and unloading containers and operating site machinery and equipment. All training, licences, and tickets required for these additional duties will be provided by the client.
