This Perth-based opportunity offers the chance to join a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy delivering studies, detailed design, EPCM and commissioning services across the mining and mineral processing sector.
Working within a highly experienced multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in delivering projects from concept and feasibility studies through to execution and commissioning,
Role Opportunity
We are seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to support the delivery of mining and mineral processing projects across a diverse portfolio.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will lead electrical engineering activities across studies, detailed design, procurement support, project delivery and commissioning phases. This role offers strong technical ownership and stakeholder engagement across clients, vendors and multidisciplinary teams.
Benefits
• $220,000 - $240,000 + super

Essential Qualifications & Skills
• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Seasoned experience in mining, mineral processing or heavy industry
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards
• Experience across study, FEED & detailed design phases
• Proven delivery of electrical design packages
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills
• Commissioning & construction support experience
• Strong technical problem-solving capability
• Australian working rights
Desirable Experience
• Consulting experience within resources sector
• HV power system design experience
• ETAP and/or DIgSILENT PowerFactory
• EPCM project exposure
• HAZOP, design & constructability reviews
• Mentoring or leadership experience
• WA mining project exposure
Duties & Responsibilities
• Deliver electrical design for mining & processing projects
• Support concept, feasibility, FEED & detailed design
• Perform calculations, assessments & design reviews
• Support procurement & vendor package reviews
• Coordinate with clients, vendors & project teams
• Provide commissioning & site support as required
• Lead electrical work packages & deliverables
• Mentor junior engineers & designers
• Support scheduling, planning & delivery outcomes
• Ensure safety, quality & compliance standards
• Participate in HAZOP & constructability reviews
