Cable Jointer

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, we are seeking experienced High Voltage (HV) Cable Jointers to join our expanding team.

The Role Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the installation, jointing, termination, testing, and maintenance of high-voltage underground cable systems across major utility, mining, renewable energy, and infrastructure projects.

This role will suit a motivated HV Cable Jointer with a strong safety focus and proven experience working on HV distribution and transmission networks.
Key Responsibilities

• Perform HV cable jointing and termination works in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
• Install, maintain, and operate cable jointing equipment and associated tooling.
• Prepare and joint HV power cables and associated accessories.
• Complete indoor and outdoor cable terminations for substations, switchgear, transformers, and other HV equipment.
• Conduct cable fault finding, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Assist with HV cable testing and commissioning activities.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, cable schedules, and technical documentation.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company procedures and statutory requirements.
• Complete quality documentation, testing records, and project reports.

About You Essential Requirements

• Certificate III in ESI – Cable Jointing
• WA Electrical Workers Licence (A Grade)
• Current Raychem Accreditation
• Minimum 3 years' HV Cable Jointing experience
• Experience with HV cable terminations and jointing systems
• Strong understanding of HV electrical safety practices and procedures
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications
• Current C Class Driver's Licence
• Current White Card
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

• Experience with HV Cable Testing and VLF Testing
• Mining, utilities, renewable energy, or infrastructure project experience
• Experience working on HV substations and transmission/distribution networks
• Current EWP Licence
• Current Working at Heights
• High Risk Work Licence
• Current First Aid, CPR & LVR
• Exposure to commissioning and energisation activities
