About this role
Spiecapag Australia are currently seeking an Experienced Rig Electrician for a Casual Project role based in the Snowy Mountains – FIFO 14:14 roster (Immediate start).
Responsibilities of the role would include:
Fault diagnosis: the extent of repairs, liaise with a designated person for action, disassemble units and components for further investigation
Demonstrate knowledge of electrical systems such as general, PLC, and low voltage communication systems
Communicate to all relevant personnel on commissioning, servicing and maintenance, defects, and modifications to minimise risk
Teamwork in troubleshooting and diagnosing damage to drilling equipment, pumps, generators, and motors
Ensure the preventative maintenance program for all drilling plant, top drives, pumps, hydraulics, generators, motors, vehicles, and equipment is carried out in accordance with the maintenance schedule
Have a good sound background with current drilling rig operations
Actively participate in using methods to reduce operational risk.
Experience in:
Must have experience in heavy industrial construction
Instrumentation installations and testing/commissioning
Temporary generator set-up
Install, service and maintain mud recycling plants, generators, Pumps, Drill rigs
Fault diagnosis using electrical & electronic instruments
Installing electrical switchboards and connecting systems to power supply
Test circuits and ensuring compliance with safety standards
Completing electronic service reports and documentation
Mentoring junior technicians
To be considered for this position the successful candidate will have the following:
Current NSW Electrical License or able to obtain one
White Card
CPR/LVR first aid
Current Drivers Licence
Current Working at Heights
High Risk Licence (EWP)
Pass a pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol Test
Successful completion of a criminal history check
Australian working rights
