PORTXGROUP ENGINEERING PTY LTD provides maintenance services to container terminals and the logistics industry. We are currently hiring for a Full time Electrical Engineer (Automation) role in Melbourne, VIC. Apply now to be part of our team.

Requirements for this role:
- 2-3 years of relevant work experience required for this role

Key Responsibilities

- Applying electrical engineering concepts and designs to produce efficient technical solutions that meet the project requirements, focusing on development of electrical control systems for automation of container terminal plant and machinery.

- Deliver all technical tasks to comply with quality, safety and project management/engineering procedures and controls to enable completion on time and within scope.

- Review of all project design ensuring interfacing to plant and other design elements are feasible and overseeing manufacture, installation and maintenance of resulting systems.

- Fully executing control system designs in PLC.

- Provide control systems support and technical assistance for breakdowns and production critical issues.

About You

- Minimum AQF 7 bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent qualification.

- Minimum of two (2) years of post-qualification experience in a substantially similar role. Experience focusing on systems automation will be highly regarded.

- Strong communication skills and ability to interpret technical schematics.

- Indefinite, unrestricted right to live and work in Australia.
