Electrical Engineering Technician

Location: The position will be based on the Northern Beaches and surrounding areas. Main work zone is from Kirribilli to Palm Beach. Some work in South Sydney and Interstate as required. This is a Full Time Position.

Reporting To: The Director, Gregory Hoare.

Qualifications & Requirements:

 An Industrial Electrician with training and knowledge of relevant Australian standards and regulations

 3 years’ experience in industrial work

 Excellent English speaking skills & communication

 Someone with previous experience as an Electrician or Lift Service Technician.

 Strong technical knowledge and hands-on skills in the maintenance and repair of a wide range of lift systems.

 Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities to diagnose and rectify issues efficiently.

 A keen eye for detail and a commitment to high-quality work and customer service.

 Effective communication skills to liaise with customers and coordinate with the wider team.

 A proactive and adaptable approach to your work, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

 Solid understanding of Australian Lift Codes and Safety Standards.

Duties & Responsibilities:

 Performing scheduled and reactive maintenance on lift systems, including diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair and lift installation.

 Carrying out safety inspections and testing to identify and address any potential issues.

 Responding promptly to customer call-outs and providing efficient on-site service.

 Maintaining detailed records of all work performed and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

 Collaborating with the wider team to share knowledge, provide support, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our service delivery

 Calm and methodical approach to dealing with faults

 Experience and ability to work with a range of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s) and Variable Speed Drives (VSD’s), with the ability to troubleshoot and fault find issues.

 Good troubleshooting skills on breakdowns

 Building control boards

 Establishing and monitoring performance and safety standards and procedures for operation, modification, maintenance and repair of such systems
