Due to continued growth in our project pipeline, we are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Melbourne team.

About the Role

This is a senior electrical engineering role within an EPCM consultancy environment, responsible for delivering electrical engineering design across studies, FEED and detailed design phases for mining and mineral processing projects.

The role is focused on practical electrical engineering design and multidisciplinary project delivery within mineral processing and heavy industrial plant environments.

This role is best suited to an engineer with strong mining or heavy industry EPCM consultancy experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering design across studies, FEED and detailed design phases

• Prepare and review electrical engineering deliverables including:

• Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)

• Load Lists

• Cable Schedules

• Electrical Layouts

• Equipment Datasheets

• Technical Specifications and Reports

• Perform electrical calculations and support electrical design development

• Develop LV and MV power distribution systems and support electrical equipment selection and technical evaluations

• Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, project specifications and mining industry requirements

• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams including process, mechanical, piping and structural disciplines

• Support procurement activities including RFQs, technical bid evaluations and vendor documentation reviews

• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and designers

About You

• Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering

• Approximately 8–15+ years’ experience within mining, mineral processing, heavy industry or EPC/EPCM environments

• Strong electrical engineering and design experience across project delivery phases

• Strong experience delivering:

• SLDs

• Load Lists

• Cable Schedules

• Electrical Design Documentation

• Strong understanding of LV/MV power systems and Australian Standards

• Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams

• Mining and mineral processing EPCM experience is essential

• Experience with crushing plants, conveyors, pumps and mineral processing facilities will be highly regarded
