The Opportunity

As our project pipeline continuing to grow, we are looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team and support delivery across our expanding portfolio of projects.

This role offers genuine variety and ownership. You’ll be responsible for delivering electrical outcomes across the full project lifecycle, from feasibility and pre‑FEED through to detailed design and EPCM support. Working closely with clients, Project Managers, and multidisciplinary teams, you will deliver fit-for-purpose electrical engineering solutions

You will act as a technical authority across LV and HV electrical design, mentor developing engineers and play a key role in shaping electrical engineering standards within the business.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Electrical Team Lead – Mining & Minerals, your responsibilities will include:

• Design Engineering: Develop high quality Electrical & Instrumentation design packages and act as the technical authority for LV and HV design

• Engineering Analysis & Review: Undertake detailed engineering calculations, reviews and analysis to ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards and specifications.

• Leadership & Mentorship: Mentor and coach Engineers and Designers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

• Stakeholder & Client Engagement: Work closely with clients, project managers, contractors and multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful project outcomes. Support design and drafting teams to produce accurate and compliant E&I documentation.

• Site Support: Conduct site visits, inspections and investigations to resolve design challenges and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. Assist with commissioning where required.

• Budget & Schedule Support: Contribute to man‑hour estimates and design schedules, ensuring efficient execution of studies and detailed engineering work and delivering on milestones. 
  

Skills & Experience

This role offers the opportunity to shape and lead electrical engineering capability within a growing business.

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).

• CPEng and RPEQ (or eligibility to obtain).

• 10+ years’ electrical engineering experience, strongly versed within minerals processing

• Consultancy/EPC/EPCM experience (highly regarded)

• Strong LV and HV electrical design capability

• Experience in power systems modelling (ETAP preferred).

• Solid knowledge of Australian Standards and statutory requirements

• Instrumentation & controls understanding (advantageous)
