Skills and Experience:

We are looking for someone with 5+ years experience in delivery of electrical design packages, with Water/Wastewater experience.

You will hold a degree qualification in Electrical Engineering and ideally an industry registration such as RPEQ.

You will have a knack for customer service, being a naturally personable and down-to-earth individual who can communicate effectively on a technical level and work collaboratively with both clients and project staff.

You will be adept at turnkey delivery of electrical packages including:

•       Industrial LV design: MCCs, Distribution boards, Control Panels, Cable selection

•       Designing power and control interfaces to pumps, vsds, actuators, instrumentation and other typical industrial field equipment.

•       Electrical drafting (Autocad).

•       Designing PLC and other plant control panels.

•       Presenting designs in a customer workshop setting and participating in HAZOPS/CHAZOPS and other risk management activities.

You will need to be able to engage directly and autonomously with clients, to collaboratively work through changing design inputs and meet challenging timeframes.

You will be expected to proactively identify and resolve technical issues, and to escalate commercial issues as appropriate.

You will have a standards and automation mindset that delivers bulk design documentation efficiently and continues to look for process enhancements.

You will be confident at appropriate delegation and management of deliverables by other team members, ideally having prior experience as a team lead.

Ideally you will also have an interest in developing your programming skills, including the hands on development of PLC's and SCADA applications.

Also of consideration would be candidates with:

•       Hazardous area design experience

•       Functional safety certification

•       Direct supervision of electrical trades or experience in supporting electrical package manufacture and construction
