About Us

Installation Theatrical Engineering (ITE) is a specialist manufacturer and project delivery company operating in the live performance and entertainment infrastructure industry. We design, manufacture and install stage machinery, curtain systems, hoists and control solutions for theatres, performing arts centres, schools and major venues across Australia and internationally.

Unlike many in our industry, we manufacture our own equipment and deliver fully integrated engineered solutions. We work closely with architects, builders and venue operators to provide practical, compliant and high-quality outcomes.

As our projects continue to grow in scale and technical complexity, we are seeking an Electrical Engineer / Project Manager to strengthen our electrical engineering and delivery capability.

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to electricians and tradespeople

  • Contribute to broader theatre engineering projects such as curtain and tracking systems, bespoke mechanical solutions, and more

  • Continually improve system performance, safety, reliability, and cost-effectiveness

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proficiency with E-Plan, AutoCAD or similar

  • Electrical Engineering qualification

  • Proven experience in designing and delivering industrial motor control systems

  • Project management experience on projects up to $1.5 million and teams of up to 10 people

  • Proficiency with VFDs and PLCs

  • Skilled in producing wiring diagrams, schematics, and control cabinet layouts
